Introduction to Project Portfolio Management Course Description

Associated Certification: Earn 14 Professional Development Units ( PDUs ) toward the requirement of 60 Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification PDUs every 3 years.

Course Description: You will apply generally recognized practices of portfolio management acknowledged by the PMI® and identify the portfolio management processes and knowledge areas to manage portfolios effectively.

Course Length: 2.0 days

Course Objective: You will apply generally recognized practices of portfolio management acknowledged by the PMI® and identify the portfolio management processes and knowledge areas to manage portfolios effectively.

Target Student:  Certified Project Managers seeking to obtain PDUs to maintain their PMP® Certifications.  Managers interested in gaining an understanding of portfolio management or developing portfolio management skills relating to business.

Prerequisites: A good understanding or work background in project management.

Performance-Based Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • perform risk analysis and develop portfolio risk responses.
